My Professional Path

I have been called ‘the pain detective’ because I try to get to the root cause of pain. And I love solving mysteries!

After running a busy osteopathic practice and a natural health centre in Devon I moved on to teach and practise in Dublin Ireland.

Now based in West Donegal and with 30 years’ clinical experience to draw on, I’m channeling my skills towards helping people who suffer from chronic pain.

I was trained to look for physical clues but soon realised that the keys to chronic, persistent pain were hiding elsewhere – in a person’s emotional story.

From T’ai Chi and meditation practices I knew the body, mind and heart were inseparable. So my work naturally evolved and led me to train in chronic pain recovery with SIRPA UK.

The Way I Work

I give people time to unravel their story.

I  listen, knowing the transformative power of being completely heard without judgement.

I teach people the strategies and tools they need to change their pain and take back control.

And I just love how humour and laughter can dissolve tension, change the energy and put a different perspective on the hardest of circumstances.

What Makes It Worthwhile

Witnessing the ‘aha’ moment and relief as someone joins the dots and sees how their feelings and beliefs connect to their pain.

The buzz as they begin to break the negative pain cycle and find their way out of pain towards recovery
