About Us

Carolyn Norgate was born in England and has lived in Ireland since 1998, teaching anatomy & physiology and pathology to physical therapy students in Dublin before moving to Donegal.

She set up a remedial massage practice in 1987 whilst continuing her studies, very soon gaining a diploma in osteopathy. She was accepted onto the UK General Osteopathic Council register in 2000 and subscribes to the on-going professional development programme which is a requirement of registration.

Before moving to Ireland she ran a busy practice and a multidisciplinary natural health centre in Devon. She was also involved in teaching remedial massage students and with organising the lecture programme for an association of practitioners in the South West.

In 1996 she undertook an intensive training in Polarity Therapy with top UK trainers, Morag Campbell and Phil Young. She has integrated this work with great success into her osteopathic practice.

With a degree in Sociology and a post-graduate teaching diploma, Carolyn's career path has taken her from social work through secondary teaching to TEFL in Paris and finally to health care.

Aside from this Carolyn spent many years studying meditation , relaxation techniques and mind-body work with John Garrie Roshi. Whilst in Paris she studied Tai Chi Chuan with Yves Blanc and Master Chu. More recently she trained in Voice Work teaching with Frankie Armstrong.

Carolyn has a lifelong interest in traditional music and song and also enjoys oil painting, gardening and literature.
